Heverly Family

Some families struggle in front of the camera a little bit. It's not there fault, some people just feel more comfortable getting there picture taken. Then there are families like the Heverly's who are too busy always havin a good time together that there photos just turn out amazing and very true to their life. I had a blast taking these pictures and I felt I got an inside to the fun and joy of being around this sweet family.

They won my "I'm going full-time" giveaway last May! I prayed before I chose the winner, that it would be just the right people to receive this free photo session. Well, I believe that prayer was answered - not only does this family rock, but they had never had family photos taken before! How cool is that?!

Montogomery Family

The Montgomery Family had just celebrated sweet Peyton's 1st birthday! So we commemorated this special time with some family photos. Isn't her little face just so precious?! and her big brother Trey, helps take care of her and is growing up to be a great little man. It is evident Danielle and Justin love and serve each other well and work hard to love and serve others too!

It was my privilege to capture some special memories for this family!

MY Family Photos

It is SO important to me to document life in photos. You can't tell me if you're having a bad day at work and you look over to a photo in a frame on your desk and see your beautiful wife or handsome husband staring back at you, that you're day doesn't get a little better. I have a hard time believing that as your kids get older and you wonder where the time went that you will regret having those family photos taken because now you can look back and remember what they were like at 'that age'. And I know from personal experience, that when you lose someone close to you, you hang on to the tangible memories, because that's all you have. These are a few reasons why it is SO important to me to document life, maybe not every moment like those crazy kids with their iphones (who am I to talk?!). But to stop mid-year or mid-month or even midday to pause and look around and maybe snap a photo - so you can have it ... forever.

My talented friend Chelsea Loomis took these photos for us.

Trettin Family

It was quite the brisk day, but this family's love for each other was warm enough to brave the chilly temps for a wonderful Fall shoot. The Trettin family is kind, funny, sweet and growing - their newest member is so cute, I squealed every time I took his picture! A baby, 2 puppies, brothers, sisters and their loves all coming together for Mom and Dad.

I love when people cherish the importance of a memory. Mrs. Trettin's main request be that I just capture everyone so she can remember. That means so much to me. Photos to me are a work of creativity and art, yes, but their main purpose is to remind. Photos remind us of a specific time in our life - how we looked, how far we've come and how beautiful we are. Photos are special, affirming memories and it is my honor to capture these times for people.

Thanks to the lovely Dana Fleck for being my assistant. Here is the Trettin Family Session:
