Client Gifts // 2014

Sometimes it is hard to know how to say thank you to people who mean so much to you. I want to give something so special, like SO special. To me, one of the very best gifts EVER is to give photos. But I wanted to give more than just photos. So for me that meant only one thing - DIY project! Yay! I always say, Yay! My husband always says, "Wait, you want to do what?" and "How do you plan to do this?" That's when I say proceed with, "Oh, it will be easy - it can't be that hard!"

HAHAHA!

My husband is a very patience and helpful man. I think DIY projects are actually growing on him ;) So we set out on this woodworking journey and it slowly came together! Before we knew it VOILA! We had a wonderful product!

I hope this photo display is a wonderful reminder to my clients of the sweet families you have, the babies you gave birth to, the person to whom you said, "I Do" and the memories of this past year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Of course, I also wanted to give back to my amazing 2014 Senior Models. So they're walking away with a little more color and sparkle for this season!

Trettin Family

It was quite the brisk day, but this family's love for each other was warm enough to brave the chilly temps for a wonderful Fall shoot. The Trettin family is kind, funny, sweet and growing - their newest member is so cute, I squealed every time I took his picture! A baby, 2 puppies, brothers, sisters and their loves all coming together for Mom and Dad.

I love when people cherish the importance of a memory. Mrs. Trettin's main request be that I just capture everyone so she can remember. That means so much to me. Photos to me are a work of creativity and art, yes, but their main purpose is to remind. Photos remind us of a specific time in our life - how we looked, how far we've come and how beautiful we are. Photos are special, affirming memories and it is my honor to capture these times for people.

Thanks to the lovely Dana Fleck for being my assistant. Here is the Trettin Family Session:

Defrains // Fall Family Mini-Sessions

Sometimes it is hard to put into words the impact people can have on your life. As pastors at my church, Steve and Leah have taught me so much about Jesus, family and life. Needless to say I am grateful for this sweet family. And these 3 little guys have a hold of my heart. They're goofy and sweet and they just crack me up.

Here is a look at the Defrains mini-session:

Fall-Winter Style // Friday Favorites

I  think we've all picked up on the drastic weather changes in this last week here in PA - we are definitely headed for winter temps people! Ew. Winter is not my favorite season, BUT there are some things I like to enjoy during this chilly time - cozy-ing up, warm coffee, blankets and comfy clothes. Speaking of which, I thought I'd share some of my favorite trends for this winter's fashion. Nothing fancy - just classic, comfy cozy.

1. Plaid

This year I am beyond obsessed with this pattern. It is a little out of control. But seriously it is so timeless. Put it under a sweater or pair it with a furry vest. You canNOT go wrong.

2. Cable Knit Sweaters

Since we are talking timeless ... it doesn't get much more classic than this. When it comes to winter, I prefer to be warm, even if it means sacrificing a little fashion. But I'm so glad I have a piece like this that keeps me warm and allows for a little style.

3. L.L. Bean Boots and thick warm socks

After the snow we got last year, I'm determined to be more prepared. I can feel cute AND ready to take on the elements in these booties.

Like I said, nothing fancy, just classic, comfy cozy.
