Erin // Maternity Session

This beautiful lady is pretty much just as sweet as they come. Erin is a previous boss of mine when I worked in retail for a couple years. We got to be super close during our time working together. Erin have also worked together on creative projects - she was the stylist for my Senior Model Shoot and I have taken various photos for her fashion blog.

For as long as I've known Erin, she's wanted to be a mom. I'm so excited all her dreams are coming true. This little boy is gonna be one loved baby! He is named after some very special people - Thomas Gunter Landis. Adorable name right?! His dad has already lovingly nicknamed him "Tommy Gun".

I love the way Erin decorated her little man's nursery! The nautical theme is just so darn cute! And her puppy Bella is already quite the protective older sister! Enjoy a peek into this exciting time for the Landis family!

Erin gave birth to little Thomas yesterday - a Christmas baby! What an amazing gift for this beautiful couple!

2014 Favorites // Weddings

It is both completely terrifying and at the same time completely exciting to capture a wedding. What a joy it is to see people join together, as team for life. I love photographing love. I had the privilege to shoot one wedding of my own and assist my good friends Chelsea & Justine with a few other weddings. It truly is an honor when someone trusts you to capture memories of their wedding day.

Here are some of my favorites from 2014:

MY Family Photos

It is SO important to me to document life in photos. You can't tell me if you're having a bad day at work and you look over to a photo in a frame on your desk and see your beautiful wife or handsome husband staring back at you, that you're day doesn't get a little better. I have a hard time believing that as your kids get older and you wonder where the time went that you will regret having those family photos taken because now you can look back and remember what they were like at 'that age'. And I know from personal experience, that when you lose someone close to you, you hang on to the tangible memories, because that's all you have. These are a few reasons why it is SO important to me to document life, maybe not every moment like those crazy kids with their iphones (who am I to talk?!). But to stop mid-year or mid-month or even midday to pause and look around and maybe snap a photo - so you can have it ... forever.

My talented friend Chelsea Loomis took these photos for us.
